OUR STORY

Timber Wolf Disaster Defense was founded by CJ, a guy who spent 18 years in the world of aerial firefighting and fire retardant operations. He’s fought fire in the most wildfire-prone terrain in the West, helping protect homes, forests, and communities from the air. After nearly two decades in the high-intensity field, CJ decided it was time for a change.

He wasn’t burned out—just ready to be home more often. The constant travel and long stints away from his wife and two kids were starting to wear thin. So, he took his deep knowledge of wildfire behavior and fire defense and put it to work on the ground, closer to home.

CJ was lucky enough to stumble upon the genius of Vance along the way. Vance's creativity and mechanical skill helped bring CJ’s vision to life, from designing mobile spray rigs to fine-tuning equipment for tough terrain. Timber Wolf wouldn't be what it is without Vance.

That’s how Timber Wolf got its start. Based in Idaho, the company focuses on helping homeowners and property owners reduce their wildfire risk. Timber Wolf brings a professional background in fire operations to every job, offering fire retardant treatments using simple, effective tools—including a custom-built spray system.

Our goal is simple and straightforward: help people protect their property, without negatively effecting the environment.
